Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actress and television presenter. Her most well-known work is the protagonist of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At 16years old, she had landed several television roles, including the lead role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Her highly acclaimed performance on the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like that of the secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge. The role was in the commercially and critically popular Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. Additional Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is involved in many notable projects, both nationally and internationally. The British biographical documentary Control the Greek-language film The Dust of Time, and French historical mini-series Napoleon are among the many. Additionally, she was an active member of the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
